Chlamydia trachomatis diagnosis is done through nucleic acid amplification tests such as polymerase chain reaction, ligase chain reaction, and transcription mediated amplification assays since they are non-invasive and perform well. The tests are highly specific and are more sensitive compared to the traditional method of tissue culture.
